How accommodations are allocated
Micasa Fastigheter is responsible for the actual properties but not for the direct rental of the apartments.
The district committees of the City Council are responsible for eldercare in Stockholm, and allocate spaces or apartments at care or assisted living facilities to those who require special accommodations due to care requirements. An application should be submitted to the relevant district office. In every district there is an Assistance Official (biståndshandläggare), who is responsible for assessing and deciding whether assisted living accommodation should be offered to an applicant. A list of the city districts is available at www.stockholm.se.
Seniors’ apartments are rented out through Bostad Stockholm, the Stockholm Municipal Housing Service. Customer Services: + 46 (0)8-785 88 30 or www.bostad.stockholm.se Micasa has a small number of “regular” apartments. These are also rented out through the Stockholm Municipal Housing Service.
